Why is my mattress sliding?

Why is my mattress sliding?

There are a few different reasons as to why your mattress may be sliding, your mattress may be frequently moving because if its old age, our mattress can be used for up to 10+ years so there a lot of things that can happen to it and out of things that can seep into it thus altering its performance from when you first purchased it. When we sleep on our mattress there are a lot of oils, sweat and other things that can seep into the mattress and over time all of these things build up and enable the sliding of your mattress.

Sometimes bed frames or the slats in the bed frames are can be damaged or worn out after a few years so that would cause there to be less support and may even cause there to be an uneven bed frame for the mattress to rest on, if this is the case then your mattress may start sliding due to the unevenness and lack of support.

Certain types of mattresses have less traction thus have less of a grip in comparison to other mattress types, the mattress types that are known to have less traction or mattresses such as memory foam mattresses and latex mattresses. If a mattress has less friction, then there would be less of a grip on the mattress thus causing it to slide more.

If you have the wrong size mattress that can also cause your mattress to slide, if your mattress is too small for your bed frame then it would be more prone to slide to one side or more corner rather than staying in the middle like you would want it too.
