Sleeping positions are not restricted to simply lying on your sides, front and back. Some people find it more comfortable to sleep best on their sides, whilst others prefer stretching out across the bed.

Starfish

• Stretching out with your arms and legs wide across the bed whilst sleeping on your back. Starfish sleepers are described as good friends and great listeners. They love to help people and generally don't like being the centre of attention.

Stargazer

• Lying on your back with your arms behind your head or resting on them. This is the most popular position for taking power naps. Stargazer sleepers are optimistic, very loyal and make friendship a huge priority in their lives; they will always go the extra mile to help others.

Skydiver

• Sleeping on your stomach with your head to one side and arms wrapped around the pillow. Skydiver sleepers are open, have a playful character and are adventurous.

Pillow Huggers

• Holding a pillow close to your body with their limbs wrapped around the pillow in one way or the other as they like to feel cosy. They are caring, family-orientated, loyal and give importance to personal bonds.

Stomach Sleepers

• Sleeping lying flat on their chest and stomach. They have fearless personalities and are more sociable than others however internally they have a lack of confidence.

Foetus Position

• This is often referred to as the baby position, where you sleep on your side with your legs curled up underneath, mirroring a baby in the womb. Those who sleep in this position exhibit a tougher exterior that hides a shy and sensitive nature inside and is more personable than others.

The Hugger

• This is similar to the foetus position, the hugger sleeps while holding a pillow as they like to feel warm, safe and protected. They tend to be affectionate, nurturing and caring towards their family and partners and appreciate strong and long-lasting friendships.

The Yearner

• Lies on their side with arms and legs stretched out. They are less gullible, stubborn and take a long time to make decisions. Once they have made their minds up, then it is impossible to change them.
